Pastry Brushes are made in a number of different ways but the natural soft texture of a brush made from pure bristle is much less likely to damage the surface of delicate pastry than a synthetic fibre. Each individual bristle is secured firmly into the wooden stock and although there might be some initial shedding there should be no further loss after the first wash in warm water.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
This product is entirely handmade by Geoff Fisher in his Buckinghamshire studio. He only uses locally sourced hardwoods that are coppiced as part of an ongoing program of traditional woodland management to maintain a healthy balance of native flora and fauna. It has been specifically designed using the natural shape of the wood to produce a utilitarian product that is both unique and practical. The natural qualities of the wood mean that not only is each product unique because of its grain and texture but because of the different soil and climate conditions in a particular locality. Wildlife can also create differences and because wood is a living material small cracks and twists can appear in response to temperature and humidity changes. Sizes are therefore approximate and will vary slightly.
